Murmansk in the 1980s. A persecuted music teacher, Svetlana, treasures one memory: the timid pupil Seryozha who adored her and who, lying in the snow with his friend Sasha, meant to fly to space. Years later an old film about the boy moves the Kremlin and the world, but Seryozha himself is nowhere to be found.
