Semua untuk Hindia

Thirteen stories span Indonesian history from the years before Cornelis de Houtman's fleet arrived to the early days of independence, each seen from an unusual angle: a former soldier persuaded to kill his mistress's husband; an officer forced to shoot Von Imhoff; a journalist who witnesses a puputan in Bali; an Indo police inspector chasing a ghost who steals rice; a Deli tobacco plantation manager who must send away his concubine before his European wife arrives; and a nyai, deeply loved by her husband, who is unfaithful to him.
