Yeong-hye has given up meat after a nightmare, and at a family gathering her father tried to force it into her mouth. Her brother-in-law, a video artist married to her sister In-hye, narrates. When In-hye lets slip that Yeong-hye still carries a Mongolian spot, the birthmark of infancy, on her buttock, the image takes hold of him and he begins to desire her body. He seeks her out and persuades her to pose for a piece of video art, a project in which painted flowers on skin and his longing for something primal blur the line between art and transgression.
