Abir fights as a sniper early in the Lebanese civil war, then deserts after his friend's murky death. Working in a hospital morgue, he learns to prepare bodies and pulls gold-capped teeth from the dead to sell, always afraid of his past in the party and the war. When unknown captors kidnap him from the morgue, he searches his memory for the deed that might explain it.
