Azrael tells this darkly comic story himself, talking to us about the people he calls on and how each one greets him at the last moment. One of them is Suleiman, a fifty-something widower who at thirteen was married by his mother to a bride eleven years older. Cared for by women all his life and helpless at the simplest chores, he lives by himself in his apartment until he glimpses a neighbour and an unexpected love begins.
