En liten historia

Marie's life is full: a husband, two children, her work, the long effort of finding where she belongs. Then her husband starts an affair, and everything she has built begins to slide. At this low point she travels to a conference in Amsterdam and is drawn to a man who seems lit from within. What opens as an adventure turns into a secret parallel love, one that lasts for years in spite of detours and long silences. Marie refuses to see it as a flight from reality. For her it carries the same weight as marriage, motherhood and creative work, a source of joy held up against grief, sickness and mortality.
