Winter has slowed everything in Sokcho, a harbour town near the North Korean border. There a young woman of mixed French and Korean parentage, who has never travelled to Europe, encounters a cartoonist from Normandy in search of inspiration. Amid poisonous fish, aching bodies and unspoken misunderstandings, a fragile bond forms between them.
