Muster aus Hans

Hans is different from the others, the book begins; so are the others, but his difference is different. Hans is one of those figures who, come what may, will not fit into the busy world of ordinary people. Massive, bearded and mute, he always stands in the way, one of the excluded whom many fear and even more insult. Thirty-three years old, and named as he is, he can be read as an example. Told in a voice both sober and poetically strange, this report moves between reality and fairy tale, the tale of a wild man who in the end becomes king.
