Θηριόμορφοι

In a hotel in Kraków a mature man, shattered by the recent loss of his wife, meets an enigmatic young woman. He is Greek, she Italian; he teaches literature, she is an actress, yet they feel something indefinable binds them. Their chance meeting unravels stories that lead back to a mansion on Chios and further still, to a Catholic convent in Syracuse: stories of love and loss, friendship and growing up, guilt and revenge that run from the ashes of the Second World War to the present and entangle the two in the most unexpected way. The characters play a dizzying game of reflections and masks, trapped in their passions like butterflies in a net.
