1983

Love arrives for a twelve-year-old boy in a remote Icelandic fishing village in the early 1980s, and with it the first lesson that everything passes. The same year draws him into language and the private dream-worlds of village youth, full of ships and drifting balloons, in a coming-of-age story that is also a quiet love story far from the centre of things.
