Vincenzo Malinconico is a Neapolitan lawyer who pretends to work to fill his days, sharing an office furnished with Ikea pieces, called by name like family, with others who also pretend to be busy. His wife has just left him, and he tries every means to keep a bond with her and with their two teenage children. Suddenly he is appointed public defender of a Camorra gravedigger, Mimmo 'o burzone, and has to brush up on the law. It is the first of his small miracles; the second is Alessandra, the most beautiful prosecutor in the courthouse, who falls for him, while he reflects on love, life, crime and music.
