Mysterious lights, a roaring sound on a Reykjavík footbridge and phenomena that break the laws of physics baffle scientists, while shares fall, cats disappear and poetry tops the bestseller lists. Against this background a young couple in the Hlíðar district fall in love, in a novel that is part science fiction, part thriller and above all a melancholy love story.
