De onbedoelden

Two baby girls, twins, are placed with kind adoptive parents, and neither learns of the other. At twenty-one Aaf discovers that just after birth she was separated from her mother and her twin. The mother's whereabouts are a mystery, the father's still more, but the sister, Annemarieke, can be found. Narrated by a collective 'we' and drawn from real events, the story shows the two women trying to join their broken lives, and how in the 1960s the church and the wider community decided the course of people's lives.
