Agni, short for Agnes, is a sweet doe rabbit living in the barn with her many relatives. She is pampered by fifteen-year-old Maša, who lives with her little sister Klarica, her father Ivan and her mother Katja. Behind the picture of a seemingly secure, slightly boring country family lies a world of stormy passions. One day, after a failed love affair, Katja's sister Brina moves into the upper floor of the house, which is in fact hers, though nobody expected her back. Ivan, the patriarch, is caught most helplessly in desire, while resentment, anger, lust and jealousy also seethe in Katja, Maša and Brina, who channel them more pragmatically. Animal and human fates run in parallel: the animals take on human traits, and the people cannot resist their animal urges.
