Socialdemokratiska noveller

In these stories, historical figures of the Swedish labour movement step into invented situations. The prime minister Per Albin Hansson boards a tram for the last time. A driver crossing Texas stops for a magnetic young Swede called Olof Palme. Kata Dalström, Hjalmar Branting, the Erlanders, Ernst Wigforss, Gunnar Sträng and Mona Sahlin also appear, sometimes only in somebody's daydream. The pieces probe how private will and choice play out inside political history, and how uncertain the movement's place in the world has become.
