Plachý dom

Ambróz is an ageing, gentle man: a double-bass player who teaches piano, a husband and father, a collector of poems and a dog lover. At first he seems out of step with today's fast age, hungry for change; on a second look he turns out to be a master of ordinary life, which is often the most extraordinary life of all. The novel walks with him in the park, leans out of the window with him, sits with him in the classroom and goes back with him into the past.
