Eden

Alba, a linguist who studies languages with few speakers, buys a barren plot and starts planting birches in the stony soil, hoping to make it a garden of Eden. Villagers nearby become curious about linguistics, and she receives the manuscript of a former student's poems about a young man in love with an older woman.
