Ljubljana, 2006. Valter Koren is thirty-nine, single and a history graduate who works without joy at a travel agency, where his boss Anita dismisses every idea as a waste of money. With his friend Bobi he plans a special tour of the city, leading visitors to the places where public executions once took place. Since breaking up with his long-time partner Klementina a few years ago, he has not done well with women, and he even avoids his old university friend Petra, who is fond of him. When a beautiful young woman moves into his block and he learns that she is a prostitute, he becomes fascinated by her but never takes the first step. The characters speak colloquial Ljubljana Slovene.
