Odlety

Fragmentary notes, close to a diary, record a time that passes ever more intensely: from the most personal and intimate experience to the atmosphere of the period, as social tensions and neuroses break into the seemingly safe retreat of a self-reflecting mind. The narrator, late in life, asks why she still writes, a question that becomes the same as why she still lives. The book is a collage of quotations, reflections, political comments and intimate memories, with family, friends and healing solitude as her anchor.
